Before joining the Empower Her Ability Project, Martha ran her food business from home, which limited her visibility, customer reach, and opportunities to increase her income. She also faced challenges with record keeping and managing her business finances.
Through the Empower Her Ability Project, Martha received entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and a ₦100,000 grant. She developed practical skills in record keeping, customer engagement, and financial management, helping her take a more structured approach to running her business.
Today, Martha has moved from home-based selling to operating from a dedicated market space. She reports improved income, greater confidence, and stronger interactions with her customers.
