Before joining the Empower Her Ability Project, Hosea was already a multi-skilled entrepreneur, sewing clothes, making bags, and producing soaps and creams. However, she operated without a clear business structure or consistent system for tracking her finances.
As a woman with hearing disability, Hosea also faced financial constraints, communication barriers, and limited access to essential business equipment, including a personal sewing machine.
Through entrepreneurship training and mentorship, Hosea developed practical skills in financial record keeping, income management, and intentional reinvestment. She learned how to better manage the money coming into her business and make more deliberate decisions about its growth.
Today, Hosea is more confident in managing her business and building relationships with customers. She is also actively planning and saving toward acquiring additional equipment to strengthen and expand her enterprise.
For Hosea, the Empower Her Ability Project strengthened not only her business skills but also her confidence and ability to plan for the future.
