Before joining the Empower Her Ability Project, Naomi was running her wig business informally, without clear business systems or a structured approach to managing her finances. Although she was actively buying and selling wigs, the lack of proper record keeping and a clear growth strategy left her uncertain about the future of her business and, at one point, considering giving up.
Through the Empower Her Ability Project, Naomi received entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and financial support. She gained practical skills in customer engagement, record keeping, business planning, and developing strategies for business growth.
The financial support also enabled Naomi to restock her wig business and start a small side business producing liquid soap, creating an additional source of income.
Today, Naomi is more confident in managing her businesses, engaging with customers, and making intentional decisions about her business growth. She also reports improved income and greater financial independence.
