Before joining the Empower Her Ability Project, Janet’s grain and foodstuff business was close to collapse. She was buying and selling without proper records, spending business income without structure, and borrowing money without being able to clearly track how it was being used.
Through the Empower Her Ability Project, Janet received entrepreneurship training, mentorship, volunteer follow-up support, and a ₦100,000 business grant. She learned how to keep proper business records, manage her cash flow, and separate her business finances from personal expenses.
Today, Janet operates her business with stronger financial discipline and greater confidence. She has increased her stock levels, expanded her inventory, and reports higher profits compared to before the project.
